Ukraine Russia War: The war between Ukraine and Russia continues. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed Russia’s victory to a group of citizens in St. Petersburg, Russia. He said that the world should not have any doubts about Russia’s victory.
Russian President Vladimir Putin was in St. Petersburg, Russia’s second largest city, where he addressed workers at a military manufacturing factory, saying that the world should have no doubt that in the coming days Russia will win the war with Ukraine.
Putin encouraged the soldiers
Russian President Vladimir Putin while addressing his workers said that the solidarity of the Russian people in this war, the courage and valor of our soldiers, and the technology of our defense unit will give us victory in this war. During this, Putin also praised the people working in the Russian Defense Factory.
Why did Putin visit St. Petersburg?
Putin was visiting St Petersburg, formerly known as Leningrad, to mark the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Army. 80 years ago today, the Russian army had registered its victory over the Siege of Leningrad. Significantly, during World War II, on the orders of Hitler, German soldiers had reached the door of Leningrad and caused huge devastation in this city.
One year of Russia will be completed in February 2023
This city had become a question of prestige of the then Russian ruler Lenin. However, Russia later repelled the German troops. Russia’s war against Ukraine (special military operation) will complete one year in February 2023. Putin sent troops into Ukraine in February last year, and in September Russia’s traditional Western allies agreed to cooperate with Ukraine’s military mobilization to counter Moscow’s forces.
