A 17-year-old boy has died after falling from the 6th Street Bridge in Los Angeles while trying to film his climb for social media.
The young man lost his footing on one of the arches of the bridge. According to the police, the latter wanted to film his stunt to broadcast it on social networks. “He slipped and fell to his death,” Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said.

Authorities intervened early on the night of May 20 to help the teenager. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
His name has not been released and police will not reveal the name of the platform he wanted to use to document his reckless act.
“Unfortunately, this bridge, which is the pride of Los Angeles, is now the scene of tragedies like these,” said Michel Moore. We will put more patrols into the area to prevent this kind of behavior.

The bridge, which cost nearly $588 million, opened to traffic in July 2022 to replace the old one, which had been dedicated 84 years earlier.
It has been closed many times as it has been targeted by daredevils for street racing, graffiti or dangerous stunts that draw large crowds.

One of them concerns an influencer who sets up a hairdresser’s chair right in the middle of the courses to get a haircut.
